So in order to celebrate the rest of the month of July after the fourth, would best be spent honoring my Mother by remembering her even more than I do daily, and of course trying to spread more of our message of connection as The Link Foundation. By telling everyone how we are all “Links” in the same big chain of life. My Mom is mainly the reason I feel motivated to do all of  this charity stuff, but also my Father too. And his Birthday was just last month. One thing I am constantly learning in the world of Non-profit, that it is not an easy task to even get people to believe in what your doing, let alone believe your not profiting from something. Well the truth is I am profiting “somehow”…. Everytime someone hears our message or connects with what we are trying to do, I feel rich. Flat out I’ll be honest, It makes you feel better than anything. So please keep spreading the message to everyone that “We Are All Connected” . And we can all get rich together. Help me help others and say thank you to my parents, and everyone.

I am so excited to be a part of something that has been a part of me since the 1980′s. The Spenser Somers Foundation www.spensersomers.org is a group based on the Life of a dear friend of mine, and many, from my High School Years. Spenser Passed away at the age of 19, just 1 year out of High School. Spenser view on Life and words, and art are so amazing and so true, that he is still celebrated by all who knew him and more, today and forever. The foundation raises funds for The Ronald McDonald Foundation for Kids, and helps to better their facilities for future Children and their families. To help in this ongoing crusade we and the Spenser Foundation Folks came up with a great idea of using our recycled bicycle chain links as Wine Glass Charms. We are very excited to sell these for our charity as well as award some out to our volunteers and even strangers, who knows. Behold the Link to to Earth! Ahhhh wonder in it’s amazement! The Climate Link! Created by our great great friend Kim, it’s a new Link in our Chain of Links created to promote Climate Ride. Climate Ride is a non-profit organization that organizes fully supported, charitable bike rides to support sustainable energy solutions, bike advocacy, and environmental causes.  Each year, Climate Ride holds two week-long events:  Climate Ride NYC-DC and Climate Ride California.The organizations that you support by joining Climate Ride are doing important work and the money you all raise makes a crucial difference.  Proceeds from the ride benefit a collection of environmental and bike-related non-profits. Link Foundations very first public event at the WALK FOR ANIMALS went great!!! Our Link Bandanas were a big hit, and we most definitely spread the message of connection to all things people and animals alike. And did it all in  honor of our parents. Our fathers dog shadow was a big hit, laying out in the middle of walking traffic and rolling over on her back , asking for a belly-rub. And a hug hug thanks to my Brother Brent and his family, Wife Monica and my nieces Lauren, Jordyn, and their friend Megan. And a few more do-gooders that help pass out our bandanas, Celeste, Amy, Chris and Marty, Thanks you guys. And thanks to the photos of the great pets wearing our bandanas. And of course our co-sponsors We The Kings and Petropawlis, and Peace Coffee (More to come on these guys). Dustin Grice isn’t but a few days into his ventures of BMX at Xfest in the UK, and check out who he LINKS up with! BMX Wonder… CORY “NASTY” NASTAZIO, one of the hosts of the VH1s XLife!!! Cory is a BMX rider, known worldwide for his dirt jumps. He’s a busy guy, with a lot of energy. He’s funny, he’s charming, and can be quite the ladies man. He’s the most sensitive in the bunch, but is no stranger to getting wild. He considered quitting a few years ago, after his good friend, Stephen Murray, was paralyzed from a BMX accident. But, under Stephen’s pushing, he kept with the sport.

Cory has been on top of his sport for 15 years and received the silver metal at Xgames and Dew Tour; the gold at Australia X games and is a two time Noro cup winner and three time overall point leader in Panasonic BMX dirt tour. Thats right! The Link Foundation Pro BMX extrodin-the-air Dustin Grice, has done it AGAIN! First place in Vegas!!! And now taking some HUGE air over the big pond Dustin will ride in the UK and France! First off will be the XFest in the UK xfest.co.uk and after that off to FISE in France fise.fr/en.  Each of these events should be more exciting than the other!? Everything from the always expected unreal BMX competitions on street, ramp and dirt… To music and more. Dustin is a huge part of The Link Foundation, being the only non-family member to be on our board, and so motivated to help. He personally has made many improvements for us, and just recently headed up the StayStrong Link. I’m thankful for Dustin everyday.
